Your suggestions for improvement
First of all thanks for Racine really cool setting&gameplay:steamthumbsup: <3 <3
And here are my suggestions for improvement:

- Add companions that help you in battle that can be demons or animals because honestly one against three enemies at the same time is not cool ;)

- then of course perform typical samurai attacks, there doesn't have to be a lot of blood, for example: enemy splitting, decapitation (head off) ect.

- night, summer, spring (add as battlefield)

- Add abilities (slow motion attack, faster or more points for cards to be able to activate them all. Be able to use revive).

- Add typical enemies for example a tengu, or cool blind samurai ect.

- Allow the player to defeat opponents one after the other without getting a counter hit, i.e. having completed a so-called perfect round.

- Add more game modes with highscore for example Iron Man mode or similar so players can stay motivated and compete with other players

Add a new adventure meant to be played in Online cooperative mode!

This seems like a really cool game - very distinct, and very playable/friendly. Glad to see meta progression; more is always better. :)

Puzzled by the "activates for free if discarded" (paraphrasing)... I tried that, and the cards never applied, that I could see.

In any event, good game. Great music too.

Starting off each run by having to go into the deck menu and pick 8 cards from a set of 8 is needless clutter. Either do this automatically, or increase the number of cards to choose from to allow some customisation and choice.

Evasion needs a buff to compensate for its really poor interactions with both Reflect and Parry.

If you right-click a card, that's called 'Selling', so it doesn't trigger 'Recovery'. Recovery is only triggered by cards that actually discard things, like how Cycle discards 2 and draws 3. If you play Cycle and it happens to discard a card with Recovery, Recovery will kick in and the discarded card will have its effect triggered.

Also, I actually have a gripe about some of the music. The fire plains' high tension song is too high strain to be played for long. Made me turn off the music.

There's a "see deck" button on the main map, but for whatever reason you can't access it when you're buying cards and relics. Please add it EVERYWHERE.
It's a roguelite, you should be able to see you deck at any time. Same for the map, it should be accessible at any point in the game... All deckbuilders should have this, it's basic QoL.

I like it so far but unable to see my cursor and I do love playing card games with mouse, not keyboard. Has anyone figured out how to enable this?

I'd like to see my deck as well as the above poster. Also achieves aren't achieving, I'm sure this will be taken care of.

Otherwise, so far a unique take and only 20 mins in and I'm enjoying it otherwise.

Exactly felt the same.




Other ideas :

- Add way more bonuses that can be unlocked. ATM you can get them all (8 or 10) very quickly and tbh most of them are kinda useless, best one is probably the 4th atk buff, others are mediocre.

- Add a mode to play all 4 worlds in a row, with the same deck, keeping our stats but also keeping the ennemy's level.

- Make different themed starting decks, and only offer card choices from the chosen theme during the run. Like for exemple, runs of only 5 colors of cards, see what i mean? (like SlayTheSpire for exemple)
It's kinda annoying to play a run where you build up tons of evade, but the shop only offers you Return effect cards for exemple.
The game isn't really playable if you try to get a few of every different stats, you have to make a build focused on 2 or 3 specific stats that are determined by the early part of the run. So after that point, most of cards offered are useless, and you can only afford a few rerolls.
It can also still be a kinda random starter, but having the run being played only around 4 or 5 colors for exemple (to be determined, could be more idk), with guaranted 2 offensive and 2 defensive colors so the run can actually be playable ofc.

Unless I'm missing something, poison just adds 5 non-scaling damage to your next attack, which makes it a 'do not pick up under any circumstance' type of card.
