Post production doesnt end.
I have 3 movies that wont release because post production doesn't end. It's stuck at 3/4 for almost a year and no way to tell whats missing. I have 3 vfx guys and chose a different one for each of the post production slots available. Didn't use any sfx guys because they were training in school. Anyone else have this problem and how to get around it?

Just click the finalize button. Or whatever it reads, I forget. That finishes it.

I finalized it but the release button is still greyed out and wont let me release it.

Then that I can't help with. When I do a movie with post, I get to the point where it reads 99% done and I can see 2-4 actions left to go. That will just sit there and never complete, until I hit the finish button, then it quickly does post, moves my movie to 100% done and I can do the whole release as normal. Sounds like you might have a bug?

I have had this problem too and sent a saved game to the Devs to have a look at. Turns out I added some extra decorations to the room which blocked all the green access points to the desk. Moved 1 item to reveal at least one green dot for the desk and all back to working again!

Are you there yet? How about now?

I'm having the same problem. I have 3 movies sitting that it won't let me finish or release because of post production.

Mostly when I have such an issue, it is because somebody is in the classroom...

Hi everyone, we released a couple updates since this was reported. Please try the latest version and let me know if this is still an issue!

Solution:
Had something similar happen. After the movie completed I put one of the Post Production Artists in school. That halted the completion. After taking him out of school and another day passed, I was able to release the film. I imagine if you fired anyone working on the current film it would prevent its release.

Also, the VFX/AFX artists don't like to go to their assigned offices after the movie is complete, they sometimes teleport in and out immediately. So I found assigning them to different offices causes them to actually do their jobs. If you don't have spare offices, try unassigning them and resassigning them.
