Your suggestions for improvement
I've only played the tutorial briefly, but Blockbuster Inc. is supposed to be reminiscent of The Movies from 2005, so I'd like the main focus to be on the visual and creative creation of movies.

In your opinion, what would the developers have to change to make Blockbuster Inc. fun for you?

One thing is for sure in this game there will be no explicit physical violence or adult themes because the game is aimed at a younger audience which is not a bad thing :)

is there a system for trading sexual favours for roles in the film just like in real life?

LOTS more placeable items - both for sets and for the studio lot - all with better collision detection, ideally where we can place them MUCH closer to each other and to walls.

Many more costumes and not just ones tied to specific genres. There are a lot of historical periods that could each have several items of clothing for it, so they could be mixed with the specific medieval or pirate ones for example.

More animations and ideally paired animations that aren't just the combat ones. The starting themes are medieval, vampire and pirate but there are only animations for vampire - this makes the first few years of making movies miserable as nothing really fits most of the films we make (not to mention most of the few we do have are combat related).

Make-up and costume departments. Costume could be a huge thing that not only leads into a wider range of costumes available to your actors over the decades but could also be tied into pre-production and a contributing factor to movie ratings. Make-up could be major or minor (major having big tie-ins with specific genres (fantasy and horror for example) and minor just being a person that stand near the director during filming and gives a small boost to the movie rating).

EXTRAS! Once we start having the largest sets, they just look so empty during scenes. We desperately need a pool of extras to fill them out and make scenes look 'lived-in'.

An easier way to add your own sounds to the existing library.

More camera angles when filming scenes.

Many QoL features such as being able to set a costume for each actor for the duration of the film. Better transitions between scenes (including remembering where actors were stood in the previous scene if using the same set).

The option for when to begin and end a specific animation, rather than have them just eternally loop. This would make aligning one actors animation (eg the vampire bite) to the right timing for the appropriate reaction from the other actor.

Having the option to let the decorative tables on the exterior count towards catering tables to feed your staff. The size of the canteen ends up getting ridiculous when you get a lot of employees.

Following on from the previous point; being able to set different schedules based on job. I don't need my writers and producers for example to work as late as the film crew/actors/directors etc. This would greatly help with not needing a gigantic canteen with umpteen tables.

More hairstyles and better looking faces (especially for the actors). If they have the beautiful trait for example, I'd like for that to be reflected in their appearance somewhat, rather than the 3 odd looking faces that everyone else gets.

There are plenty of other ideas but these are the chief ones I'd love to see addressed first. I'm very impressed by the game and have high hopes for it but I'm already playing it less as I notice more issues and wait for updates, rather than burn myself out on the small amount of content that's currently available.

Up-vote everything you said. I also think being able to control camera placement in addition to extra shots and tracking options would be great, outdoor or location shooting would be great.

Maybe a bit of an over stretch, but I would love it if we could actually plan out a scene. At the moment a scene is essentially just a shot, 2 if you're lucky. If we could set up a few shots to be taken in a scene, then we could actually make something that looks more like a short film, in less time and within budget :)

- An option to disable the day/night cycle would be nice

- The scriptwriting by the screenwriters seems too fast in my opinion

- The actors seem to be gaining notoriety too quickly

- There may be some balancing to be done on the earnings generated by films: we make a lot of money too easily.

We hope for more character customization options in the future (both physical, outfits and with new character traits for example), and more objects/sets

-The game is pleasant to play to me, there is potential even if there may still be some finishing touches to be done, and optimizations. Besides, I see that there has already been an update today, that's cool !

The UI is very clean, no crash for this moment and at this point the price of the game seems right to me. All my encouragement to the developers !!

I like the game but I have 40M in 1923 and own 100% of all studios stock which is worth about 30M. I have a bunch of A-Listers so I really don't care about animations or items, just maybe some balance work. It is quite fun, I still have the Movies but this has potential.
