JP voices with EN texts
I was happy when I saw the EN/JP presence on the game. The PS2 didn't propose that. The problem is that Square didn't think of players loving JP dub on english texts.
Maybe I didn't find the option but if this limit is really there then just know that switching VOICE_JP and VOICE_US in the sound directory of the game works like a charm.

They should simply make it an option in game... Thanks for the tips!

Thank you! I'm just going to ask about it. :steamhappy:
Are you going to post it in Guide section later?
Oh goodness, thanks for this! :greedyHeart:

This marks the third game under Kawazu without a proper dual audio option. This is so damn weird. First the UE4 conversion of The Last Remnant removed the dual audio option found in the first PC release (still not UE4 PC version), then SaGa Scarlet Grace, now this. I don't get it.

SaGa Scarlet Grace was supposed to have it, was removed prior to release and eventually the promotional stuff on the store front removed mentions of it. It gets even weirder as the Ark Software physical release in Asia on console (PS4 and Switch) has the dual audio option.

I'm really tempted to reach out to him, since he is on Twitter and he's been open to responding to fans asking questions in English.

I have heard that he prefers to get involved with SaGa localization, I assume to ensure that certain terms and phrases have the exact feel that he would like. It would not be a surprise if we do not have Japanese voice acting packed into the English releases just because he wants us to hear and comprehend the dialogue. If Japanese audiences have to have certain repetitive phrases burned into their brains, so do the English-speaking ones.

It doesn't seem like it could be due to licensing or anything like that, but a creative one? That isn't outside the realm of possibility. I'd be interested to know as well.
You are not the Warrior of Nisa =(

Yeah I'd be interested in the answer to this if you could ask him.

The Chocobo's Dungeon game on Switch has all the languages on it but won't let you play with JP audio and EN text, so I imagine it could be licensing issue and this is the way they get around it.
