This game is a full remake of Romancing SaGa 2, the classic RPG from 1993 that sold a million copies in Japan.

The original game has been rebuilt with numerous accessibility updates to make it an exciting and enjoyable experience for SaGa series veterans and complete newcomers alike.

■Story
Seven heroes saved the world in ages past, but the ancients feared their power and exiled them to another dimension.
Thousands of years have elapsed since The Seven were banished, and they have long passed into legend, but it was always said that they would return one day to save the world again.

■Imperial Succession
The player becomes the Emperors of Avalon and works to expand the realm while battling against the Seven Heroes. To stand against the incredible might of these foes, successive Emperors must pass their powers down the line of succession to their descendants and engage in an epic conflict that spans millennia.

■Characters
Over 30 different classes, featuring a plethora of races and occupations.
Each class has its own unique capabilities, favoured weapons and magical powers.
Characters from any class can ascend to become emperor.



The demo lets you enjoy the opening chapter of the game, where Emperor Leon and his comrades take on Kzinssie of the Seven Heroes. Story progress from the demo can be carried over to the full game.

Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven is a complete 3D remake of the original Romancing SaGa 2, first released in 1993 in Japan.

This remake keeps the epic story of the war fought between the imperial line of Varennes and the Seven Heroes of legend, as well as all the unique mechanics from the SaGa franchise, such as “Glimmers” and “Formations” while reworking the battle and character growth systems and adding numerous new features such as JP and EN voice acting. To celebrate the launch of the game, the SaGa Emerald Beyond developers came together to answer some of the communities hottest question in an interview style Q&A.

Is there any connection between the characters and setting of SaGa Emerald Beyond and past SaGa games?
Series mainstays such as Glimmers and United Attacks are still present in SaGa Emerald Beyond, but there’s no connection in terms of the story and setting. Having said that, there might be some places that hit a little harder if you’ve played a title from the SaGa series before.

Can you still enjoy SaGa Emerald Beyond without having played any other SaGa games?
Yes - since there’s no connection to other titles in the series, you don’t need to have played any other SaGa games to enjoy Emerald Beyond.
There’s a demo available as well, so in case you’re unsure about this type of game, you could to start by playing the demo first.

Which protagonist would you recommend for newcomers to the SaGa franchise, and which would you recommend for experts?
Tsunanori Mido is fairly easy to get to grips with if you are new to all the different systems of SaGa.
Whereas Bonnie and Formina might be more fun to play if you are already well versed in the series or after you’ve explored lots of different worlds with the other characters of SaGa Emerald Beyond, but if you like a challenge, of course there’s no problem with picking them first!

Do you have any tips for the battles?
The trick to having a successful battle is to connect the combo range of each individual tech.
In the beginning, just focus on trying to connect the green lines above all else. On top of that, it’s also important to try and disrupt enemy United Attacks.

What kind of play time should I expect?
Starting with either of the 5 sets of protagonists, it takes a good few hours - around 10 - to reach your very first ending.
Each of the lead characters has a vastly different story and we developed the game in a way that you will never experience exactly the same thing twice. The story and ending will be different for each player, each playthrough - so play time can basically be infinite!

Are you planning any DLC?
We don’t have any plans for DLC - but rest assured, there’s already plenty of content in SaGa Emerald Beyond.

An immortal vampire who rules over a world shrouded in darkness, as the Dismal King! Betrayed and driven from his throne, when he awakens, Siugnas sets out on a journey to recover his powers, accompanied by the other warriors in his squadron.

DIVA NO. 5
A mech designed to be the perfect entertainer! Capturing the hearts of all those who saw her perform, one day a forbidden song causes her memory and singing functionality to be sealed away. The gods created man and man created stories.

The primordial creator Marda brought forth the land of Mardias.
In ages past a mighty battle rocked this land, when Elore, the king of the gods, fought three malicious deities: Death, Saruin and Schirach.
After a long and drawn-out struggle, Death and Schirach were sealed away and rendered powerless, with the final deity Saruin also trapped through the power of the Fatestones and the noble sacrifice of the hero Mirsa.
Now 1000 years have passed since that titanic battle.

The Fatestones lie scattered across the world and the gods of evil are resurgent once more.
