is the console version ever getting updated?

I have this and SS4 on series x and I'm wondering if they're ever getting updated or are they just abandonware? there are still bad issues with both games, like quitting to the main menu causing the menu to become unresponsive to any button presses, or the problem where if you're using cheats and have all the weapons (since NG+ was never added) when you get to a point in either game where you're required to pick up a weapon to trigger a wave of enemies, you can't progress because you can't pick up the weapon since you already have it.

No idea, that's why PC's are always better for games(atleast imo), more priority to the PC version of games.

not really. that's only with PC focused companies, which aren't many. of all the games that I play that are multi-platform, serious sam and postal 4 are the only ones that don't get updates on console the same time as PC.

probably not. the console version of Siberian Mayhem apparently never even got the update that adds new game+ for whatever reason

yeah, I hate how some devs just release console versions as abandonware.

Pushing updates to Sony consoles is extremely expensive and requires a full detailed report that's pretty scrutinizing because they want to avoid console exploits. I don't recall it being that difficult in the 360 days, but Sony was always careful.
