Dinning room puzzle bugged?

It took us about an hour to figure out the order of the guests, and we filled up all the cups in the correct order, but when we tried going for the host, the little pointer thingy would always skip the host and stop at Emily's already filled cup, resetting the whole thing. I was on the seat to the left of the host's seat, and I'm sure I clicked on the "go 1 to the right" button, but the hosts's cup is getting skipped anyway.... It doesn't make any sense. We even checked a guide, a walkthough and even a youtube video and we were doing right order. Is there any explanation for the host's cup getting skipped every time?

Just gave the game another try , and once again, the cup on the end of the table is getting skipped and we can't finish the puzzle...

Seeing this same issue. Sorry I don't have a solution just want to confirm that others are seeing the same thing.

We just ran into the same problem, where the correct solution was just resetting the goblets. We closed the game and restarted--which gave a different seating arrangement--and it worked first try. I suspect the bug happens when George Wells is seated at the starting point for the cursor that fills the goblets.

Whether or not that's the actual cause, closing the game and restarting did solve the problem!
