Damage Out is broken for Combo+Ult vs Raw Ultimate
Gogeta ss4 is the punching bag, always is for testing purposes pre/post update

i was doing some tests and how does a raw Ultimate does more dmg than a full on combo into ultimate?
example Kid Gohan raw ultimate is 17388dmg.
did multiple test and the damage varies between 1300-1500 dmg with a full combo into ultimate with over 60 hits.
Prior to the update i was landing over 24k-27k dmg

tried gogeta ss4, raw ultimate 19950 dmg
did a full on combo into ultimate over 70 hits, does 19250 dmg

for some reason the combo dmg output is being applied as if its apart of the raw ultimate or worse.

i noticed this bc kid gohan is my favorite character and i instantly saw a huge drop in his dmg output and after the update it went to complete ♥♥♥♥ afterwards.

i only tested these 2 characters only atm.

kami piccolo, same thing.

the dmg output its ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up

went over the patch notes again, it looks like its POINTLESS to do long combo chains. OUCH!!!

Well, it's fairly common in fighting games for special/super moves do less damage when used during a combo, since it's generally easier to hit your opponent with them that way.

It was the whole time like that, you could after a combo chain zdash instead of doing circle and end the end the combo, start another combo but it will get exhausted very quickly and the opponent drops to the floor and you cant combo anymore, This is in the game to prevent you from getting killed from 1 combo.

Credit where credit is due, that was a smart descicion from bandai.

Its a mechanic used in all fighters called damage scaling. Hitting something raw will always do more damage over being in a combo.

Feels like a proper fighting game now. I noticed it too with both Broly, Goku End and Ultimate Gohan.

Keeps you from spamming the same chains to do max damage.

and people i talked to didnt think diminishing returns was a thing in this game
