And just like that, DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO became an irrelevant garbage game. I will never buy this game, unless you add local multiplayer in some future expansion/DLC/update. This IP and the previous games were famous because of the fun local multiplayer mode, not including it shows that this new game is nothing more than an unfinished cashgrab scam.

Not that deep, I understand you guys like to play with friends while eating snacks and doing experiments, but it's not Bandai's fault, it's Sony and Microsoft's fault because they're greedy and want people to buy more consoles and copies of the game, and even worse, it's really complicated to include in Xbox series S split-screen mode, and also, seriously? What do you mean cash grab? Budokai Tenkaichi is MORE than just split-screen, sure it's a really important factor and they're trying to find a solution (which to me is good news cause it shows they really want to include it and will find a way), but budokai tenkaichi was not recognized as the best DB game because of the local split-screen mode. Take it easy man, you can't even call it a garbage game when you haven't played it yourself.

I'll be honest. I understand local means everything. I would also love Local too. But if Local play is really gonna be a deal breaker then, I'm sorry. maybe this isn't the Dragon Ball Game for you. Plus I feel like if the roles were reversed, everyone would say "Why is everyone complaining about Online, the Budokai Tenkaichi series never had online so why is everyone so butt hurt". I'm not dunking anyone, just saying that Local Play shouldn't be a deal breaker but maybe that's just me. I hope you get what you're asking for.

It's when reviving an old series you are bound by what the previous games did. You already have the fact that they only have 3 more characters than the previous games despite having a ton of important characters to add meaning it will be lacking quite a few characters from previous entries, then if you add missing features or modes thing goes down hill fast with the game devolving into the name being just a cash grab.
