Piccolo alternate path against 3rd form frieza

So, I beat the absolute stuffing out of frieza, and the cutscene still triggers to his 4th form transformation. Like the dude doesn't even touch me but I'm still managing to struggle to take him down before the hidden time limit expires. Is anyone else having trouble with this one?

The only trouble I have is not struggling with Frieza's death beam zoning. You face his final form in the Alt Route.

Yeah. I think you're talking about dealing with his 3rd form transformation during Piccolo's fight against his 2nd form. HIs final Form IS the alt route

Yeah. Aren't you supposed to KO him before he tries to transform into his 4th form? Because I'm still following the main path. The main path is the red one, the secondaries are blue, the blue one is still greyed out with a "?"

you just have to win the fight before the time limit is up, unfortunately i have no idea how to know what the time limit actually is, in other timed battles there's usually a line of dialogue or something to let you know you were too slow, but this one doesn't seem to have anything like that

that one did seem pretty hard to beat the time limit in, my strategy was just to keep spamming special beam cannon as much as possible, try to charge up to sparking mode again right after you use it and combo into it again

You're suppose to beat him even when he transform. Don't get discouraged when he transform with full health recovery. Early Piccolo's Special Beam Cannon has high damage output if you combo it with Sparking combo timely. Beat him quickly after his transform to unlock the alt route version.

It's not just the time limit, DON'T STRUGGLE too much. The dialogue with Goku coming is the time limit.

Maybe tonight ill take it easy and see what happens. Maybe I'm on the alt and don't realize it. I was getting pretty heated trying to get it lol

nah it's literally just a time limit, on the map it says "struggled against frieza" or whatever, but if you pause during the battle it states the objective is to win quickly, i never noticed the goku line though maybe i was just too focused lol

You have to be in the special beam cannon cutscene while he is saying this line and it has to kill him for you to win the alt route

Thats horrible. I even tried to lock him before the transformation to get his health down some to prevent time from running out and it still failed. Lol

This side mission is absolute trash dude, I beat the ever living ♥♥♥♥ out of both forms but it always ends RIGHT before he's gonna die after he transforms. Drives me fkn insane.

if he transforms you arent being fast enough, i think its the hardest mission in the game. Everything has to go perfect, 1 mistake or even mistiming and you wont beat it fast enough.

I think i read the time limit is 2 minutes.
