I swear a lot of ki spamming and cheese can be mitigated if they added Ki sickness or some kind of negative effect in the game and the fact there isn't when the older games had it is actually stupid

ki sickness didnt effect the character if they had enough stocks to instant overcharge again

i dont even understand why this is a issue. if they spam ki skills then they dont have ki for any actions making them extremely vulnerable.

and in my some 250+ online rounds i have yet to encounter a ki spammer that doesnt have their whole play style broken by being aggressive

It's people who spam ki blasts in sparking mode.
The usual tactic that people use in high rank is they get into sparking mode, start ki blast spamming while mixing in charged ki blasts, which forces you to be locked in either a block animation or a deflect animation. While in this animation you can't really rotate, so they'll slowly encircle you while continuing the ki blast spam, eventually ending up behind you.

Once they're behind you they'll either keep spamming or use an ultimate. There isn't a lot you can do, regular dash into block will make you deflect regular ki blasts but not charged ki blasts, those will stagger you. Z dashing negates all ki blasts but is hard to pull off once you are in the block or deflect animation. The aggressor has to mess up for you to be able to retaliate properly.

The only thing you can do that is somewhat reliable is if they are stupid enough to get relatively close to you while spamming ki blasts, you can then revenge counter and maybe turn the fight around.

yea i know, lol but most people do, and if you don't their normally mashing to counter it, and if they do ki blasts you left instantly vulnerable when you just dashed behind them, and if you choose to block, most people will just grab you instantly i'm A4 in singles, so i've gotten to face my fair share of stupidly good players who just instant read you every time XD
