You don't even deserve a Jester because you're not just a clown, you're the entire circus.
Why should anyone play a way they don't want to because the devs are bad at their jobs?
Are they just bad at adapting or what?
Like it takes actual effort to switch to that control scheme, it's not the default. SO they chose not to learn the default and I don't get why anyone would do that.
It's amusing how offended you are at something that didn't happen.
I never once said anyone should or shouldn't play any way. I'm asking why people chose to change it from the default controls, when I too have played the classics and have no problem with the new scheme.
(and frankly, imo Guard on RB/R1 is objectively better because my finger is almost always resting on it; even when I'm pressing RT/R2 the knuckle between the proximal phalanx and the middle phalanx is resting on the corner of R1/RB. This makes me objectively faster at guarding and instant transmissions since all I have to do is shift my finger pressure; that's just a fact.)
To the rest of you: who tf said I was trying to justify a bug or force anyone to play a certain way?
You assumed that, when I'm just asking why anyone would change it from the default to begin with.
You know what they say about people that assume...
I wish we could get further insight into how such a bug came to be, but I know that will never happen, sadly.
If the game only offered modern controls then sure it'd be a little more silly to expect them to program in a new control scheme, but they already did, so make it work at all times
I thought maybe years old muscle memory would wake up and it did. I don't go remapping games before I play them but they offered it at the beginning so I took it. Practiced for hours and now I gotta re-learn it.
I wouldn't have even thought of changing the controls but it was like the third thing that popped up when I launch the game
