It feels like the game is just rehashing what happens in the anime. The more powerful the character in the series, the stronger they are in the game. It's like they think that’s all we want! If you’re looking for something exciting, I’d suggest going back to Xenoverse 2. Trust me, you’re not missing out on much here.
Plus, this gameplay is way more complicated than what we’ve been used to over the past nine years. We deserve better, don’t you think?
In my opinion It's worth 70$ in contrast to other games in general. It has stunning graphics, nice distinct art style, some decent depth to it's mechanics (it's no Dragonball FighterZ though) that are very much skill and timing based, your generic story recap with a bunch of what if scenarios, the roster is huge and there will probably more DLC to come. Connection has been surprisingly good. It sold very well already so it's reasonable to assume they will work on it and make patches.
So far seems well balanced. Character power is more of an indicator of their health and damage, rather than being straight up broken in every way with a ton of armor an speed as well. You can totally defeat ssj blue with like a Freeza solder or Yajirobi if both of you are of similar skill, so it's not that big of a deal
If you've never played BT3 2 or 1 then I would just wait
