I make it short: Because the combat is fun and not a joke like xenoverse and kakarot.
This is a PvP game. Solo was made to teach you to fight for online play under the guise of story because as you go on they are stronger and suppose to be harder than the last fight to slowly increase your skill. Not for an actual story. That was kakarot. That and it's not like you haven't seen the anime and if you haven't you should on the simple bases of it's the grandfather of anime.
Are you dumb? So you want this game to also have more PvE content when you just mentioned two games that have a ton of PvE content? And you really don't understand this game caters to a different audience?
Kakarot - For the story
XV2 - for the multiverse/RPG stuff and CaC/what ifs
Sparking Zero - for the pvp / nostalgia
I see no reason it should be anything else.
- Looks Worse
- Plays Worse
- Loads Worse (even on SDD)
- Has a smaller roster (even with all DLC)
- Doesnt have playable giants
Kakarot and Xenoverse have a bunch more stuff, yeah, but I'd argue that quantity isn't better than quality. Both Kakarot & Xenoverse are a mile wide but half an inch deep.
Also, this constant idiocracy about how said part of roster are variations.. seriously? That's literally every Dragon Ball game. Xenoverse has it, the older Tenkaichi games had it, so did the Budokai series. etc etc
Kakarot is actually good though. No hate on it.
Do we now call up to 6 player missions a mmo? Yeah, definitely not. That would mean that most online games are mmos. For the entire DB franchise it's probably as close as it gets but that doesn't make it one.
