Why play this game instead of Kakarot or Xenoverse 2?
They have the exact same gameplay with more content.

This game is just PVP focused with barely any single player content, while both Kakarot and Xenoverse 2 have extensive solo content, and Xenoverse 2 is keep getting continuous updates.

There's literally makes no sense to pay more for this game when you get the same gameplay in the other two games....not to mention 50% of the roster is just variation to pad the numbers.

Mr. Popo will be a playable character in the first DLC.

Xenoverse 2 has no difficulty option for offline vs ai battle, and the standart AI is waaaaaxy to easy. Only challange in XV2 is lategame Parrallel Quests but after you done them there is nothing left.

they may look similar, but they play completely different. the controls, gameplay and feel are different. i got all the dbz games on pc and i can honestly say this game is a breath of fresh air in comparison to kakarot and xenoverse. so why dont i play xenoverse and kakarot instead? i already beat them and i am no interested in playing them anymore.

DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi are the most complex & skill based of all DB games. Xenoverse feels like childsplay compared to this.

You should actually play it, totally different feel with a dizzying amount of mechanics that give you a level of control of your character that just isn't in the other modern games.

"barely any playable content for singleplayers"

tell everyone you didn't touch episode battles and bonus battles without telling people you didn't play any of the SP content...

Yeah i was hoping for a budokai 4 but they really messed it up,
Started playing budokai 3 again and the Dragon universe mode/combat feels so much better then this game.

being able to build your character and going through the story would have been so much fun with the updated graphics and roster.

Completely different games.

Sparking! series is a highly mechanical fighting game, that if balanced would easily stand alongside actual fighters, but is purposely imbalanced for that dragon ball level of feeling and that's perfectly fine.

Xeno & Kakarot are both RPGs split off in different directions with Kakarot being more of a true RPG and Xeno being more of a sandbox do anything type game with multiple players on the field at once, so closer to the PSP tenkaichi game...

Xeno misses MANY features the tenkaichi games (like this) have, such as beam struggles, the more advanced layers of customization with capsules & so on.

the same gameplay? lol what a joke

in xenoverse 2 i could beat the hardest mission in the game as a level 1 character without getting hit, it was so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ easy all i wanted was another budokai tenkaichi

I mean, if you simply talk about PvE gameplay, this game has like 15-20hrs of that. Not really a great point from your end.

I think this game is as close as it will get in terms of another Budokai Tenkaichi, so looks like you got what you wanted.

Kakarot is fun, it's literally a full DBZ story. However, for me once I had to find some random objects for the spaceship I knew it was for me. It's there if I want to play a DBZ rpg

To be fair, those games are fairly different from one another and different from this game too. They are all very different in terms of gameplay.
Also, why choose a game? You don't have to and can eventually play all of them. No game of these is gonna last forever.

Sounds insanely boring, but that's me. I kinda look for some sort of progression and simply doing a mission just for the sake of fighting with no story whatsoever feels just bad to me in terms of PvE. This game just relies on PvP imo, so to form an argument based on PvE sounds like a real bad one.
