you have to time it correctly if you are using it after a combo. there is a slight delay depending on the combo you performed.

It sounds like he's describing either his character being too close to the enemy and thus getting stuck 'jolting' partway through the backflip that characters do to get some space. That or he's trying to spam for an ult, and getting stuck on the way the game buffers inputs, resulting in spamming the b button counter.

Either way, solution is to clean up your inputs.
