What to do when attacked from the back?

Everytime AI gets behind me it seems theres literally nothing i can do except take it like a good boy but as soon as i get behind their back they counter instantly almost, what is it that i need to do to counter backshots?

The counter timings are pretty tight, attacks happen to fast its hard but a well timed R1 teleports you behind them. A lot of practice in training mode helps

+1 this one, Practice it in training mode absolutely.

Super counter my friend (up on left stick + x/square)

I've found that to counter the game's weird timing on the super counter, that it is IMMENSELY easier, to learn the input time (Spamming X does not work.) Instead, flick the stick+X every 0.5 seconds or so and you will super counter consistently when you do so. You can try and time things like vanishes or what not, but a sparking combo from the back from a speed character is just wacky to try and time.

The only thing you can do is Z counter or use an escape skill. Z counter is mid combo is unlikely since the game speed is too fast and fast characters are even worse.

The AI take "breaks" though so you can just vanish attack inbetween their drops.

Just not timing it right.. its really tight and you need practice.. try timing a counter tp when they tp behind you to dodge the whole combo
