I completely forgot that fighterz had similar issues on release.
Honestly, the people who shelled out an extra 10 dollars but couldn't play online the 3 days earlier should be more upset than anyone else... they basically paid for campaign and no online features.
There's a crazy history with Dragonball and Bandai not making their games work on Linux for any online play. I'm fortunate that I have a Windows PC to play the online mode on and I can still enjoy the Tournaments and Story mode when I'm on the go, but it is really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ that this has been a trend. I do feel bad for people who literally cannot play at all because they only have a Steam Deck, and I'm sure that's not a small number of people these days with how big they've become.
Only saving grace for me is that I got this game as a gift. No money out of my pocket.
Still, I'm not confident that Bandai has any interest in fixing this. They've been radio silent and I already have an immensely negative opinion of them.
Bandai is always super untrustworthy honestly. They really miss the mark a LOT and it's really just made worth imo that they really have the entire anime game genre hostage.
Sucks, too. Dragon Ball is a big part of my life but the golden era of DB games is well in the past. This game is fun but there's so much that needs improving.
I have most of the game's settings at medium or low and I haven't had any issues. I haven't even bothered to apply the "fix" that's being talked about.
But you're talking to someone who doesn't care if a game is running at 25FPS or 200FPS.
The only reason why I hadn't adopted Linux sooner was the fact the entirety of my PC gaming library is Windows based.
I'm computer savvy but I want my software to just work. I don't want to have to ♥♥♥♥ around with Linux to get a game to work. The Steam Deck completely removes this barrier for me and as a result I am even considering replacing my desktop with the Deck.
Microsoft is getting far too obnoxious with Windows and I wouldn't be surprised if we start seeing an upward trend of people going to other operating systems.
I don't care about the online matches because I don't play online. I have been very much enjoying my time with this new game.
Shills like you are the bottom feeding dregs of society, who asked? does your mother know you get paid to type this drivel online? what does she think about it?
Imagine
>mention game on ps3
>random person goes on tirade about the console
yet it happens to linux constantly, spoken by people with nothing else to say, why?
