They need to implement a quick and effective balance. How about this:
All characters should have the same HP.
All characters deal the same damage with melee hits, special moves, and ultimates.
Sure, this won’t solve all the problems, but at least it would help tone down issues like SSJ4 Gogeta being the top dog. It's about making the game fairer for everyone, and honestly, a little balance goes a long way in keeping things fun!
I mean sure, but eventually you get to the same rank, and at that point, you're left fighting the same 2-3 S tier characters over and over again, and if you're all the same skill level, if you don't do the same, pretty much condemning yourself to lose.
Then again, even while I was B rank, I was facing C rank Gogeta SS4's, so seems it's not working as intended yet, not like those early ranks really matter, but still.
Yes, and they don't have the advantages he has on top of it, such as the stats and animation speed.
Goku has Instant sparking too, but only in his base form, and he's UB is far more situational than the Big bang Kamehameha, as the former can't be used melee range.
What about UI Goku? He's Rush Super is near instant, and is objectively easier to hit than others, while doing equal if not more damage.
I obviously don't want all characters to be exactly equal, and have balance patches, I suggest that some DP system to single battles also needs to exist, if not just the option to outright ban these top 3 characters when queueing up.

Obviously if the Gogeta is really bad or the Yamcha is quite good it can happen. The discussion over equally or similarly skilled players, Gogeta will pretty much always win.
