Magical changing button layouts

I've been playing using classic controls with a few tweaks to the layout and I've been using them for the entirety of the story mode, however when I switch to online battle my layout completely changes during the match but when i return to the settings they show correctly. Anyone with a similar issue?

I am also having this issue, it is quite frustrating

Try to put Classic Controls on player 1 and player 2, go to settings. After a couple of games it got fixed,at least for me. The game reconigze you as player 2 when you re playing in the opponent player map.

yeah no luck its still stuck
