Super counters and infinite back combos
I'm gonna keep this short; Super counters suck.

On top of having one of the worst inputs in all of gaming (Up on thumbstick + button) due to input lag and latency, they are also the only way to get out of combos from behind, which by now people have learned ways to infinitely chain them so that you can never turn around and never get launched away (which ends the combo supposedly) and they can effectively win an entire match without you being able to fight back.

Now let's look at a game like Xenoverse 2.
In Xenoverse, you can vanish out of any combo, but it uses a stamina bar which SZ doesn't have, but it also has the AMAZING, MAGICAL ability, called "turning around" which you can do mid combo to catch people who vanish behind you, and the person who vanished can even block it, or perfect block to end their opponents combo altogether.

Would it really have been that hard to simply add a feature like that? Instead of being forced to solely rely on when your character decides they want to turn around?

Back combos aren’t infinite it you get only 3 to 4 follow ups before you knock your opponent down and it ends. If your opponent combos seem endless it’s well a skill issue. You get 3 to 4 good chances to pull off a super counter when they follow up on you that’s when it’s easiest to time. If you miss all the chances you need to recover fast and roll or gaurd or something at at least. Practice at it.

the combo can go on as long as you can get in a "new" part of the chain.
Eg. Xbox controller: xy-xxy-xxxy-xxxxy-axxxx so something like this
Ps : st-sst-ssst-sssst-xssss s-square t-triangle x-x

the likelihood of pulling off a mega combo on a person is exceedingly unlikely if they can super counter. you can do it on the ai tho

You missed part of what I said, people have figured out ways to keep a back combo going infinitely. Before I posted this I lost a ranked match to someone who would throw a normal combo without mixups, wait like half a second for me to reset, then start again before my character turned around, he didn't do any heavies or smashes or whatever that are easier to counter than normal attacks. Again he isn't knocking me back like when you use the same heavy twice in 1 combo, I had no opportunity to dodge out of his attacks and he didn't throw attacks that could be Z countered.

uhh because you can? maybe not at 100% success rate but enough to break out of any long combo

instead of button mashing up and the attack button. you tap them.

the only time i personally cant break out of a combo is when the input lag gets too high and nothing works in general

well I don't usually button mash, I wait for specific attacks that I can time
And I was never talking about a long combo.
I'm talking about someone who is throwing 5-hit combos with no heavies (which are easier to counter) waiting for the combo to reset after knocking me forward with the 5th hit, then doing it again before I can turn around, and hell, even if they mess up or knock me back they can just sit behind me when I'm on the ground and start it all over again for free cuz my character won't be facing them when they get up
