Split-Screen is an absolute joke... ://
So I just watched the new Gameplay Showcase: https://youtu.be/yW0NyXB62Vs?si=-L3GZbGZNXP7yRaM

And honestly everything looks sick as hell so far, I genuinely have no complaints what so ever. Except for the split screen implementation. To explain how it works, only one player can select a character at a time & you can only play on one stage. That being the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.
This stung to hear, because I'm a big local / split-screen player of FighterZ, Xeno2 and hell practically all DBZ games.. Now this isn't a dealbreaker for me.. However it would've been the icing on top of the cake, ya know? By the looks of it, they've implemented Split-Screen really late into the games development, even Jun Furutani the director stated "after careful consideration" - meaning they probably saw the out roar of people complaining about it earlier in the year. That and he explained it was meant to be a Singleplayer / Online experience.
What are you guys' thoughts on the matter? :Goku:

Honestly i am abit upset about how they implemented Split/Screen BUT after a while they could potentially fix it, now... are they going to? Thats a different story.

Maybe if they stick to it like they did with Xenoverse 2.

Im honestly not sure how itll go BUT at least we have the basis for split/screen , so better that than nothing at all :) They may enhance the split screen experience later down the line .

Seeing Dragon Ball Youtubers reactions of pure copium, I mean it's great that we have it but only being able to play one stage?? Meh..

That's my hope! I'm happy we at least have a form of split-screen and I'm hopeful the add more to it in time!

If not , MAYBE Modders can fix the issue of single map :) EVEN If its demanding, let our pc decide if it is capable of running or not ^^

The Modding scene for Sparking has a lot of potential, would be interesting to see if they could implement full split-screen & more :D

Being on Unreal Engine? I believe it!

It has a lot more potential for modding than any other games, being on Unreal Engine 5. That engine is made solely for modding

There's really no defending this. They had this figured out 20 years ago. Why is it suddenly a problem now? Yes the graphics are nicer, but the system is also more powerful. Stop trying to push it to its absolute limits and just make something that looks nice and runs well with resources to spare.

All the effects to handle, while handling both characters point of view, it might higher up the specs like crazy. So i'd still think, though it's sad, that it's okay to implement it on a map where there is less interactive effects with environment to handle, and to leave adding the other area for modding if people want it. That way, if your computer can handle the mod, good for you, if it cannot, you can still play a stable game.

Not too bad, considering it wasn't supposed to be part of the game.
They already managed to add it kinda quickly even if it wasn't in their plans; since they already changed their course of action, its very likely they'll keep on working on it and patch it up, actually giving a full vs mode on all stages eventually.
I'll be pre-ordering it, once I'm able to set aside the funds.

I don't even think it was a matter of the consoles being able to handle it, they probably implemented it last minute. Hopefully they can make an official upgrade to the split-screen,, but as others have stated, we might be able to use mods.
