This is either in a different universe or i dont know. The whole thing makes 0 ... ZERO sense!
Not even once are they trying to go SSGod / SSBLUE or ...even UI / MUI which is not even a transformation.
Like seriously, i get it that they are kids ...but no where did the wish ever include anything about making them weaker.
And seriously... latest episode 18....they add SSJ4??? and it looks sooo much worse and is even less impressive then the OG one???

Such disrespect and so much bad writing...just speechless.
Even more speechless if someone managed to enjoy this piece of trash

The visuals of the models were in fact not completed prior to the completion of the series. He was not the soul be all of passing the design of the transformation. So merely what i am saying is that if individuals are not happy with how the ssj4 looks, its not entirely Toriyamas fault.

And also exactly my point. This transformation seems way way forced. Where is the Spirit Bomb? Why did they not run away if Gomah is si strong and try to get Gohan (ULTIMATE GOHAN IN PEAK) and figure a strategy? Where is instant transmission? Goku had many times where he did not play fair....poke his eyes and hit the 3rd eye...maybe it falls off ??
Why not go to new namek to wish to be turned back into adults, nowhere its mentioend that goku cant use instant transmission and alot of other retcons and STUPID plotholes :-/

100% my point. SSJ4 with big hands, lame same color hair instead of Black and also red eyes instead of Yellow - more beat like.

he looks more like Knuckles from Sonic.

i bet SSJ4 goku wasn't even planned, they just rushed it into it to avoid even more bad reviews.

The whole series is ok but the most maddening point is how they added ssj4. Its extremely more lame, with less soul, less reason and even way way less dramatic then in GT.
In GT it was luck that Goku looked up and luck that the earth radiated the exact frequency ...and LUCK and the LOVE for PAN that made Goku regain is consciousness and control over his mind to then turn SSJ4.

This was Akira Toriyama twist on the whole story of GT and making it cannon, It was heavily influenced on the series. The way the transformation even occurred was a tad bit odd and it is very much possible the transformation can only be done with the help of nava's magic. The guy is full of tricks and shows just what a namakian can really do. I didn't mind it at all to be entirely honest and i don't think that the ss4 will be a transformation that can just happen. It's more than likely going to be a thing they unlock for the fight and require the help of Nava to accomplish, almost like how he is able to increase the power level of the Tamagami. It almost reminds me of how Grand elder guru unlocked krillen and gohans hidden potential but this being a less permanent power up.

I want everyone to remember that only the first 3 episodes of daima were completed 100% before Toriama passings and its very likely that some of the changes were made by Toyotarou.

Even tho Daima does seem a bit rushed and the story heavily leaning on the shoulders of GT, I can still appreciate how every fight had something unique to offer and how amazing they were animated. Some of the episodes battles you would expect straight out of a movie, For example when Goku obtains the first dragonball. There was no lack of detail in that fight what so ever.

I dont criticize the fights or the animation. Just the story and the bad writing and of course, the bad implementation of SSJ4.
If what you say is true, then they should have waited longer to finish the 1st season and write a better story.
No offense, but you are right, after the first 3 episodes it shows that everything feels rushed and that things keep appearing out of place. Not to mention non stop retcons?

Im really starting to wonder how much Toriyama was actually involved and if only barely, they would have been better off to make it a small special / small movie and close the chapter.
We already know what happens between Buu Saga (end) and DBZ End.
Just do some world building and continue DB Super.

It's definitely good. But because it follows the essence of DB, with more emphasis on being silly and fun, people that only care about Z hate it. But for someone like me who likes DB and Dr. Slump more than DBZ, Daima has been a blessing.
