Blocking is such a pain
So I've been practising how to do Z counter and other guarding for story mode. But for some reason no matter how much I press my RB to block or Z counter. It never seems to work so I get comboed to death cause the game won't response to my blocking. How the hell do I get better at this if the AI is just kicking my ass? The responses seem extremely lacking when you try to block.

At first I was reacting way too quickly but after a while you get used to the timing

It does work flawlessly offline but there's the delay factor online which can throw off frame perfect input timings

it ain't like that, you just need to do it within like 0.2 seconds of the hit connect almost like the parry in sekiro

Yeah, blocking feels very bad
That's the thing, I don't mash it. I try and time it but I'm currently on Beerus and he is completely kicking my ass cause it will sometimes work and not work. I get it's at the point where the hit is just about to make contact but it's almost like it doesn't quite response when I do it at the right time.

I do feel like I might have to bash my head against Beerus till I learn it but it gets so annoying.

The game is pretty great tho

Sekiro parry was extremely easy compared to this to be honest...
