Spirit Bomb Softlock

I saw one other thread about it but no followups or fixes. Is anyone else having this issue or is it just me? When I throw the spirit bomb-- or when Goku forces it to be thrown during the Frieza fight-- it gets stuck in the throw animation and it remains stuck here with the enemy AI usually just sitting still or attacking to no avail.

Anyone else having this issue? Any fixes? Am I the only one besides the one thread I saw?

I am having this issue, but only on my Steam Deck. On my main PC it works perfectly fine. Are you playing on Linux?

It's not an issue of the spirit bomb not hitting, it's an issue of the spirit bomb animation freezing and softlocking the fight

Actually, i've noticed a similar thing happen in a couple custom battles, and happened to me once in the nappa fight. sometimes the AI just turns itself off, doesn't move, doesn't get up, and you can't hit them, or damage them.

I think all you can do is just reset to fix it.

I'm facing this exact issue but against the ginyu force fight. Every time I use it the goku is stuck in the throwing animation and the spirit bomb never lands. Still haven't found a solution to this 😔

Maybe a weird suggestion but is your fps unlocked? I wouldn't be surprised if that causes animation issues. But it's just a guess

Faced the exact issue,I had changed the engine.isi or whatever to have 30fps set instead of 60 but that caused my spirit bomb issues. Deleting the changes I made let me use the spirit bomb with no issue and I just changed back to 30 after the frieza mission.

Aw man is that really the only solution? My game runs like ♥♥♥♥ when its at 60 😭

Yeah changing the framerate in games like this is really wonky. itll never really work right

Try lock to 32 FPS. It work for me :)

Are you using a mod to speed up your characters gamespeed? That usually causes issues
