Not Enough Time for Alternate routes

Hey is it just a skill issue or do you guys also feel as if the game doesn't give the player enough time to meet certain requirements for alternate paths the for example the goku vs goku black zamasu fight

For the two goku vs radditz alternate route, you have enough time. it's a little short because that's a challenge, but it was enough. So... unless the timer for goku black zamasu fight is shorter, I'll say that's a skill issue

You pretty much have to spam sparking mode and beat the AI into specials. It's a bit overtuned but you'll get people like the guy above who think people give a ♥♥♥♥ about single player accolades say "skill issue" to avoid criticizing any aspect of the game.

It'll most likely get patched.

It's basically DPS/Skill check unless you use dragon orbs. Dragon Orb use will still count for getting the what-ifs but not towards your overall victories on the game.

honestly idk if it works for everyone but if you get enough distance the ai just doesn't rush you so just charge ki spam ult repeat, managed to clear gokus alternate routes pretty quick + use upgrades that you can buy from the shop to ease the pressure

only one that was nearly impossible so far is trunks vs vegeta gohan and piccolo. 1 minute for that ♥♥♥♥ is crazy

the Goku vs Zamasu and Goku black fight is actually a health requirement by the time the conversation ends. I got Goku black to his last 2 bars of health while having over 5 bars of health myself and it never played the concluding voice line and let me finish the fight. Goku black used the scyth ultimate and that seemed to be the indicator that I had met the conditions.

The Vs. Cell alternate route pisses me off because it kept getting to the point where he'd have like... so little health that Mr. Satan could fart in his general direction and he'd keel over and Goku's like "I guve up"

Should have made it based on health rather than time, at least for the majority of them, some make sense to be timed but with ones like Raditz it should only matter that Goku won

I think many of them are based on health. or at least that is how it felt to me for a good portion of them. I first time cleared several including Cell, and Jiren for the alternate routes and how much hp you have at certain points seems to be part of the trigger. granted high health generally also accompanies a super fast stomp so its hard to tell which one has more weight. But I 100% the Goku story and all alternate paths for his.

Nvm It was a skill issue after a handful of attempts I did end up beating it I still think the timer on certain missions could be tweaked while others feel perfectly fine. I also do believe a lot of it has to do with enemy and player health meeting certain conditions

How do you use the upgrades from the shop? I tested out using the max health capsule one to see if Jirens health increased during story mode but it looked the same? Not sure what to do bc ive seen some posts talking about boosting yourself for story mode with capsules

I second this I thought these were exclusive to the tournaments/multiplayer. Also does anyone know what dragon orbs do or how to get them?

The only character I have trouble with is Piccolo's bum ass. Bottom tier character gets the hardest side missions to complete.

Which one are you struggling with? Piccolo was on the easier side to me compared to the timed bs in other storys. If its the 17 fight I understand I feel your pain and am praying for you

One of the alternate routes for Vegeta requires beating Trunks in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber "Quickly"

I did it in about 32 seconds and it didn't count.
