In Jiren's story. I've been at it for well over an hour. I won't say it's impossible, but this is ridiculously anti unfun.

No matter if you z counter, super counter, sway, vanish, anything, he'll do it to you 10 times often. A regular human being (that isn't a pro) cannot possibly react to all of this, the game is way too fast paced to make the AI an input reading.. insertalotofcursewordshere.

I know i'm gonna get ''skill issue'' stuff, but when you're creating an AI that also does way more damage than you do + input reads and unhumanly reacts to everything you do it's just not fun anymore.

I'm all for difficulty overall, but this aint it.


It's also ridiculous you can't really become Full Power Jiren until way deep into the fight with MUI on your ass. It's incredibly annoying you can't manually transform. And not just that, you don't get your HP back, he does. All of it.

Are you talking about the True Strength mission? when you have to fight 17 frieza vegta and goku? i gave up on that one, the ai cheat way too hard. With super armor constantly and perfect counter multiple times in a row. Ive seen people beat it by spamming moves, but thats not fun to me, thats pathetic. If you complete the game by cheezing then i feel no gratitude for it or sense of accomplishment. The ai in this game need some serious work, it makes no sense that they ignore the combat mechanics, and when you try to break out of there combos, you cant and are stuck, but they break out of yours with hyper tracking super armor counters, ridiculous.

oh yes they can lol, yes they can. Especially in the later episodes they get out of it like its absolutely nothing

He revenge counters out of every combo and while hitting him from the back (pause) does get you some extra hits he will still perfect parry out of it or whatever the attack parry is called by input reading.

i swear i wasted an hour and a half but i managed to complete EVERYTHING in that damn saga without spamming moves or doing anything "unfair", and fighting 80% of the time only hand to hand using every skill i can muster, and punching my desk. and no, urs are not skill issues, the ai in the jiren saga is a damn DEMON, completely senseless. in the torture i inflicted on myself by not spamming and challenging that shi at what he's best at (combos, counters and vanish) i understood some details, like the fact the ai never does vanish chains. for example when you enter a combo and manage to throw he away, it you click triangle to hit him he'll vanish, if you also vanish he will not continue and you will be able to conclude your triangle chain (+ circle to finish the combo). in general during the whole battle he hardly manages to escape if you answer his vanish. for the rest i can only tell you to spam, if you don't want to suffer like me. otherwise master the combos and get ready to sweat

Spam attack then ki blast, uve got armor piercing. And then shoot when he want to recover ki, make sure his ki never reach 3 or 4 bar. Fill ur ki when he fall dont attack unless ure already on sparkling mode.
On yes when ure mess up just retry. I dont even waste my 4 bar health on the first won and unlock the secret ending.

Why wouldn't they? If players can do it, the AI can do it faster. Unless you're trying to say you can't counter it in which case the late game is going to be rough for you.

From what I've heard, you have to basically cheese these fights by using sparking mode. Otherwise, the AI is basically reading your inputs and countering you.

no matter how hard the cpu counters you, i have still managed to beat them in this mission, it's a matter of how to proceed after a successful counter, if you do the wrong thing the cpu will counter again and again until you die, but if you do the right thing you can break the cpu and achieve victory.

if the only thing you do is rush attacks, you're dead, you need to implement all the other moves, this is not easy unless you have mastered the combat.

as soon as you toss the cpu away, use this time to build ki and engage again, keep this loop until you can create enough distance to go into sparking mode, once you are sparking the cpu is brain dead easy to defeat.

of course at this point, 1 or 2 sparking modes is not enough, you must successfully go into sparking several times, not necessarily ending with ultimate because the ultimate consumes all your ki bar, and that's actually bad because it will take too much time to go sparking again.

instead of burning all your ki with ultimate, use something else to send the cpu flying and quickly charge your sparking again.

this is how i manged this fight, very intense but still easy because i've mastered all the combat moves.

also forgot to mention, use your meditate as many times as you can, without healing this fight is downright brutal.

Owned him at first try. AI is predictable and will never change tactics. I even made a custom battle with jiren, gave him max hp, 3x damage and much better AI behaviour item, stil easy. I hope they add hard difficulty and tweak AI a bit to make it not braindead.

If you want to see how AI "works", go to training, choose "Beam Blasts" for your AI. The 'dance' is funny and cringe at the same time... I JUST WANT YOU TO STAND STILL AND FIRE BEAM BLASTS AT ME ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!
