Never pre-ordered a physical copy before. What happens if I get the physical copy before release date?

Just want to know since I long pre-order the PS5 version months ago & it's near the two week left period.

So what would happen if I get the physical copy before the 7th & insert it?

And if for some reason I'm able to play before the date, is it even legal to stream it before the date? Just want to know ahead of time since I've seen people able to play the full game days before release.

I think I know the reason.

As soon as the PS5 came out tons of scalpers tried to hoard them with automated purchases and resell them at a higher price.
In this period I heard about a legend, a dude that sold a print on a piece of paper of a ps5 for 500 bucks on ebay, in the description and even in the title he specified that he's not selling the console, only the image, and that people SHOULD NOT buy it since it was an intentional bait for scalpers.
The best part is that a scalper actually fell for it and bought the ps5 paper for those 500 bucks xD

I bet he's the said scalper, that's why he's mad at ps5 now. xD

You should be able to play just fine. But i doubt you'll get it by the 7th. The ps5 physical version is the standard edition set for release on the 11th. Unless you have preordered the collector, you'll most likely receive your copy between the 9th and 11th.

don't make up things ahaha but thanks for the laugh I remember when scalper sold those plastic bag for over 1000€, in my home there is only my pc i dont even have a TV to play with that plastic bag.

I see. Well, it'll be my first pre-order so I'm still not sure what the result would be, but I guess I'll find out near thr 7th to 11th.
