multiple character forms
why do we need so many different forms of each character? Why cant I pick broly and transform him all the way up during the fight? I think cluttering up the character select screen with so many different forms of the same character is cheap. also why pick untransformed broly when you could just pick ssj broly? Why is the weaker form in the game if I can just pick the stronger one?

you can start as base form and transfomr all the way up, or start up already transformed, and each have different movesets

You can transform, and the whole point of the game is to make you feel like a dragon ball character. Starting from base and going all the way to the last transformation is part of it.

Very few characters can’t transform up.

Blue Goku can’t go UI, but you can go from Base to Blue. UI can go to MUI.

You can from Imperfect Cell to Perfect Form Cell but Perfect Cell is separate.

Ultimate Gohan is not transformable.

I think those are the only ones that aren’t obvious. Of course Piccolo can’t fuse with Kami mid battle so he’s separate like in Tenkaichi 3 and so on.
There should be a way to hide multiple forms though, so you only pick the base characters from the roster. Otherwise it's a slog scrolling down through all the Saiyan forms. The character select just sucks so much, since at least back when BT3 was out they condensed it and sorted it by arc/groups. They also had nice artwork instead of in-game renders.

The way it is done you can't really do that. The point is to pick your character and see it jump straight into battle, with no transition. That creates an interface a bit too filled up, but it does work as intended, though.

All I'm saying is there should be a filter to hide transformations to make scrolling easier. They also could have done it better while still removing any loading screens. Maybe have a bar at the top like BT3 and scroll along it, while also loading in characters. That way if you want a specific form, just click on the character to get more info/skins/forms.

fun fact. in raging blast 2 you had only 1 version of each main character and guess what? you had to manually edit the attacks every time or create a custom version of that character. do you want that? i dont. there reason there are alot of different versions is because each transformation and version have compleatly different attacks. gogeta z and gogeta super have different movesets all together. thats why you need different versions.

I've seen a filter in one of the video, dunno if it was for the select screen, or if it was for who the tournament AI can pick, but it was in with a lot of filters.

This is how it should have been TBH.

Same with Fusion sadly. You had to keep on fixing movesets after each fusion/unfuse.

That makes too much menus to go through, imo. It was such a pain to find your character in bt3, if you wanted a specific one.

At least it's organised.

You have a sort and filter option. No one actually tried it, so who knows if you can't put the transformations in one slot.
