Its all nonsense. He's just power hungry and it using his crusade as an excuse, trying to justify it to himself. And even if that werent true. Even if we were pro-zamasu and sided with him on his judgments, theres still the fact that Trunks used the time machine to *save lives* including his own, its literally him fighting for his life and the lives of others. how can we punish people for doing their best to stay alive?
and, maybe i have my history wrong, but didnt Xenoverse say that theres specific timelines? So the one we are watching/playing is the official timeline, the "sacred timeline", and so everything that happens in it is whats supposed to happen. so trunks going back in time, was fated to happen, right? because it happened on the sacred timeline, its canon, so how can we, as zamasu, hate Trunks for using the time machine when its what hes supposed to be doing?
Yeah i know they wrote this plot after the fact, but im just saying zamasus crusade is a sham. not to say i dont like him as a character. but his motivations are hollow, reality is hes just a black hearted villain.
I am not saying what Zamasu did was proper, he could of found aless combative take on Universe 7's actions (Goku's Universe) but at the same time like Zamasu's philosophy was similar to Christians sins. "thou shalt not worship false idols"
I do agree though he himself was this "Worship me" "Gods are pure" "Mortals should look down" I agree with what you are saying. It is all nonesense.
But like the good ending could of been Zamasu talking to Zeno and informing him the abusive power being given to someone like goku through Beerus. All theory in practice. I agree that Zamasu should of been a more respected character that should of made a more traditional method. But he instead took powers into his own hands.
I will credit you on that yeah. I do feel like Zamasu could of succeeded his ideals if he actually expressed them proper. However that may be. But then we wouldn't have a saga involving his ideals conflicting with that of a Saiyan and his kin. (Trunks) as well as Goku and the future. Because Zamasu would of took his ideals and in a toxic sense target other universes as well.
But at the same time. I did say that Goku isn't by the books a mortal. Though he is one. It's just that Universe 7 has been given too many slaps on the wrist. You can agree to that right? And I think that was what Zamasu was trying to say / express.
"Man imatating gods is a transgression in and of itself!"
Part of the reason why universe 7 was in the Tournament of power was due to the abuse of time travel. IIRC. And I think the other part was Beerus being lazy (Joke) lol.
Yus. I agree. But at the same time Zamasu was a bit extreme. But then again we wouldn't have a Zamasu Arc if it didn't go down the way it did.
I do think that the abuse of time traveling. Was for the gods only and even then. Didn't Whis abuse that too. When Frieza blew up the earth?
Like Time traveling occured multiple times. I think Cell hitched a ride too. So there was at least 3 maybe more time skips (ONE WAY) back and forth it should affect both universes which it did. Which is why Universe 7 was in the Tournament of Power. Due to the abuse of time travel.
I lowkey blame Whis lol.
