For those wanting to have Bandai Namco fix the technical issues with the game currently:
For those who are upset with the current state of the game on PC, developers don't check the Steam boards or comments, and they're more likely to ignore the problems after the first week, so you need to directly contact the publisher somehow.

For the email address, use "pr@bnea.com". The reason being is that their support page is broken and outdated, and every other lead I've seen is relating to their arcade division, or Bandai's toy division. This is their PR division, they handle public relations.

Also create a Bandai Namco account and then submit a ticket here:
https://support.bandainamcoent.com/s/submit-a-case

Set the message name to something like "Inquiry: Dragon Ball Sparking Zero PC Issues", and then make sure to mention the current issues with the game in a clear and specific enough manner to where the developers don't have room for any misinterpretation. Here's what I went with, don't just copy mine outright:

Hello, I would like to inquire about Dragon Ball Sparking Zero's PC release. I have to use this email, since the support site hasn't been updated to show the game in the list of options, and there's also no way of creating a support ticket. Right now, the game has several issues on PC, that either are questionable design decisions or make the game unplayable on certain PC setups. Here's a list of issues with an order listed by severity (most severe to least): 1. The game is seemingly using Unreal Engine's obscure FixedFramerate setting, which makes it so if the framerate tanks below 60FPS at any point, the game runs in slow motion. This is an objectively bad design decision, because it doesn't take into account fixed refresh rate displays (without FreeSync), framerate dips, other players playing online, or any sort of frametime fluctuations. Steam Deck and lower end PC users have to use config tweaks to force the FixedFramerate setting to 30 or 40FPS, because otherwise the game will run in slow motion, and those who are playing on high refresh rate displays are going to have issues forcing this to anything higher than 60, thanks to other performance issues in the game. Ideally, unlocking the framerate and then using Delta Time normally like other Unreal Engine games do should fix the trick. Dragon Ball Z Kakarot, despite having a 60FPS cap, did not have this same slow motion problem. The game is perfectly capable of running with arbitrary framerate targets, so this is an extremely questionable decision to make. 2. The difficulty settings for AI characters seems like it's not functional, and it's booting AI characters to the hardest difficulty regardless of what the player picks in the settings. 3. The game has egregious shader compilation stutter, due to the game not having a PSO caching process when starting the game for the first time. This is due to the Unreal Engine version being used for the game (5.1.1) not having the automated PSO caching process that the later versions of the engine support. 4. Online multiplayer isn't functional on the Steam Deck and Proton for some reason. 5. The game does not have any sort of ultrawide support, when Bandai Namco's recent games (including Sand Land) had support for it. This decision is especially strange, considering 16:10 works in Sparking Zero without any sort of letterboxing being done (Tested on my Steam Deck). It's very disappointing to see a $100-110 game have these issues, as it hinders being able to play early access or at launch. If there's a way that these issues can be fixed in a patch, that would be greatly appreciated.

Great post

HDR is also hilariously busted, pushing out 10000 nits, with overblown gamma, horrible gamut expansion, and improper adjustments. It honestly shouldn't even be an option.

I updated the post with a mention that you can only create a support ticket if you create a Bandai Namco account. Do that and submit a ticket through there instead.

I created a ticket regarding the classic controls. I have friends who won't play the game because they legit can't use supers online.
If you have the same issue, I'd also appreciate it if you made a ticket on your own.

Good list, but please add the classic control mapping bugs too.

I made a bandai account and submitted a ticket with an edited version of this.
