Into a Third Future Bugged?

I was wondering if anyone else is having problems with the story quest Into a Third future's Alternate end. where you beat them before the elapsed time. i beat them both but the health bars wont actually deplete to zero. im wondering if there is a trick to beating goku black before they fuse and that is the trick. any insight is very appreciated, <3

Nah you just have to beat fused Zamasu real fast

I beat him nearly instantly he just went to 1 hp and was unstoppable

you need to kil fused zamasu very fast not zamasu or black

its bugged on pc at least. ive seen people play the game, they get more than 40 seconds of time against fused zamasu and additional dialogue in the quest from supreme kai and vegeta during the fight.

yea, i just ended the fight with fused zamasu using blast 2 with less than half a health bar left and was still standing. blast 2 does more than half a health bar of damage! they should add a timer i feel.

I literally just beat him, health bar went to zero and it still triggered the "survive the battle" branch, I'm not doing that again. I don't know what the hell is going on, but they don't give you enough time and he for some reason keeps a tiny sliver of health if you hit him with the "no hard feelings" blast when he's almost dead so you have to hit him again after that. Beyond stupid

happened to me too. i used ult and he stayed at 1 hp, think its him being health gated when he starts his final line of dialogue which is about like 8-10 seconds long. no transparency on any kind of time and stuff just happens at random, really feels like rng wether or not things happen or dont.

I just did it, it took me a few tries. Best advice is to make sure you're already in Sparking mode when Fused Zamasu appears, and then immediately pop Kaioken. Beat his ass with a long Sparking combo and then hit an Ult. After that, Zamasu pummeled me for a bit but I managed to get two normal Super attacks in and beat him

I don't know if this helps with the timer: But I also beat Zamasu and Black very quickly to hopefully trigger their dialogue/fusion sooner?

i wound up beating it and im more confused than i ever have been about this game. when before charging one sparking and ulting would run out the clock on him, this time he sat there and let me do it three, maybe four times. additional dialogue triggered for no reason. he stopped talking and didnt go into his speech. i just went sparking over and over and he let me. i let him go into sparking and waited to fire my ult after he shot off one of his every time and he just...let me. this doesnt always work either, again the timer for his speech seems to be entirely random. some people keep saying they think it has to do with beating zamasu and black faster but thats just not the case, it really is seemingly random. either that or getting close to him or hit by him forces the dialogue to start somehow. it just doesnt seem right.
