SSJ3 vs Majin Buu Alternate Path "A New Power Awakens"

Has anyone found the trigger for this yet? I've tried a few things, just running out the clock as Base Goku, the match has no time limit so unless this is a long timer it doesn't appear to be that.

Defeating Buu with Dragon Fist, doesn't appear to work either.

You can't not turn SSJ3 as its based on how much damage you do to Buu. The default path is just Wear down Majin Buu so it appears that fight him and doing damage isn't required for the alternate path.

when you unlock the last ssj3 transformation you have 1 minute to kill him.

I killed it in 2minutes and 30seconds and it was enough, probably under 3 minutes is the cutoff

Yea I don't like the way they make the game harder by adding in time restrainsts. I would rather they have a hardcore mode with extra health or a lil harder fight.

I like to take my time with the AI and fight them properly instead of rushing spark and trying to kill them as fast as possible.

The killing them as fast as possible is just to unlock some what if, and that's only on a few fight for each characters. So you can still take your time with the AI once your set on the what if path.

just gotta do him reaally fast and make sure your difficulty is not reduced to easy. the cutscene afterwards is THE EXACT SAME in the beginning, so dont instantly retry.

thats what i've been doing. Just finished Frieza's storyline and realize I didn't finish goku's what if he goes with picolo and defeats him without dying - not the side by side z fighters one.

so far 2 down, going for Vegeta but now I gotta work so ill finish it throughout the week.

I've beaten buu in "a new power awakens" in well under 3 minutes multiple times now why isn't it triggering the what if episode

Same. I beat him under 2 minutes and it didn't trigger, might just be bugged for some people. My only thing in goku's story i dont have beat. =(

It's a shame to force beating them in under three minutes, where some other "easy" battles had a couple of anime episodes of time.
