what fight are you stuck on? you can beat most normal fighters by going into sparking mode and spamming the regular rush attack (it's an infinite combo in sparking mode) and most giant guys buy spamming supers or by repeatedly vanishing behind them

What are you gonna do in online mode?

Players are braindead compared to the AI in Episode mode

So mastering the z-dash I think it's called really opened up the combat for me. It was the one move in the training I couldn't figure out. It's hold trigger and tap A twice BUT take your thumb off the left stick. It won't go off if there's any directional input. It's like using vanish strike at any range which actually makes it more reliable unless you're countering another vanish strike. Also make sure you're pushing the right stick if you're stuck in a rush combo as long as you have 2 ki bars. Always keep your ki high for counters, dashes and vanishes. Remember you can block while holding perception. Use perception. Use the training. Don't just go through the training modules the one time, there's so many mechanics and they're all worth learning. Game flows so good when you do.

Just keep at it, you will get the hang of it eventually. I find that hitting up the tutorials every now and then for a refresher can really help.

what you're describing uses blast stock, not ki. ki you can just charge up by holding the trigger. blast stock (or whatever they renamed it to) is only earned throughout the battle and is used for your first two skills, transformations, and max power mode.

I heavily suggest never using this counter. Losing 2 blast stock is horrible as no combo you do in this time will be worth it compared to what you could be doing with those blast stocks.
I realized that the reason I was struggling so much is that I was never able to use blast stocks because I kept countering everything instinctively, this was a bad habit that I had to break. Take the beat down, them go on the offensive.

Obviously the same rules don't apply to PVP, but we're not discusisng pvp here.

I don't think they're talking about a counter maneuver. I'm pretty sure they're talking about the thing where you can dash towards an opponent but if you press it again you will dash behind them Xenoverse style which takes a bar of ki.

I'm not gonna lie, I did a double take when the game decided to have me try to solo the Ginyu force in Goku's what if. ALL of the Ginyu force
