Don't be mean... I stick to story mode and I love the game....
Doing that has helped me shake the rust off pretty decently but my defensive game is still terrible so I'm going to keep at it until like Mr.Sicks said: its seared into my soul. Still unsure of how you deflect super attacks at this current time but hey I'll get there.
And most likely, a person never played BT at all
or better yet ANYTHING consistent with the game, sometimes guard works, sometimes charge attacks have i frames, sometimes the teleport function works (i lied it doesnt the other guy just snaps around 180 degrees and never misses a single combo button)
Thing is with the big fights the ai knows how to implement them very well too.
There's also skills that make you invulnerable for a short time and such
As an avid fan of the Tenkaichi trilogy this game feels very close to home.
Experiment with the classic control type as well
