people are already complaining and demand nerfs
https://www.thegamer.com/dragon-ball-sparking-zero-is-way-too-hard/

Seriously the game is just one day out, there is so much to learn so much intracies, for sure you might not expect to beat every character arc right from the get go. There is an "EASY" mode people defy to use because they expect "normal" being a cakewalk.

This is ridicilous I can imagine people paying more to play 3 days earlier might rather lean towards a sensitive and impatient kind, problem is - Bandai Namco will panic and nerf the games balancing until it becomes absolutey braindead easy like 99,9% games on the market, before everyone has a chance trying it out themselves.

This is what I hate about modern "community driven" video game design, even several difficulty levels have no meaning when people outright refuse to accept to play on the skill that is appropriate to them.

Why not feeling confident just accepting that a challenge might be too hard and playing other arcs instead and then coming back with more experience? Take your time this is not a race it's much more satisfying beating an enemy that actually made you feel something, not just pounding them to the ground. The game is big enough there is so much to do.

I mean come on it's Ape Vegeta, do you really think this was a cakewalk for Goku? A game about becoming stronger, going beyond your limitations, and then people immediately start crying that needs to be dumbed down to their level instead raising up to the task, oh what irony.

The ai is either unfair or had a lobotomy, it's neither satisfying or fun challenging. Also, nobody really cares, there won't be any significant nerfs.

The AI cheats with the revenge counters!! I'm telling you! No skill counter and I'm getting revenged countered all the damn time!

thats an ai article as well.

I don’t think they have to mess with, hardest A.I since the Budokai games (although I sucked at all of them so maybe that’s why it was so difficult… ♥♥♥♥ you Kid Buu)

AI is fine i remember it being this hard mostly because i played ultimate recently. on a side not difficulty can be changed i was offered a lower difficulty and even then if something doesn't work change your approach.

Parts are definitely tough. Like the What If story where you have to beat all 5 Ginyu members with just Goku. But it's doable. Two months ago i was replaying BT3 and that game had some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ story fights as well. Nothing's new. The game is as they used to be. Try finding a way to be better, cheese or just lower the difficulty.

How can we change the AI difficulty? I want to set it to max but I cannot find the option in settings.

It is set when you select a stage, you will see it down the bottom

Can't say this game has any option for a casual experience through the story. Most people that try Sparking Zero probably played Xenoverse 2 before and in XV2 you had the option to just level your character, generally a casual experience if you wanted one, but Sparking Zero puts players into situations where they still have to try multiple times even though they already switched to easy and easy also directly locks you from seeing all the content.

This sounds great, like an oldschool game.

This game is literally a get gud game nothing really has changed except the AI got WAY better now. everyone is just not playing FG's like that or not wanting to admit how washed they are.

Yeah. It's timing is unfair. Playing Jiren's story and I literally landed not one hit on Roshi of all people. Dodged EVERY SINGLE ATTACK i threw at him.

I’m out here jamming to music in ranked and practicing non stop against un fair odds on super. Im terrified of them nerfing the game to the point I can’t play due to boredom. It’s already bad enough the AI doesn’t know how to keep up with my pace, deforms, and refuses to save itself from flying away and crashing into the ground… the only reason a character shouldn’t be catching themselves is if they have been knocked defenseless at 0 ki or when hit by an ult. Connection to matches is ok and I expected everyone to grab their sweatiest character goku mini kinda busted though just from my experience using him.

I'm just confused why everyone is having such a hard time... like, great ape vegeta, I beat him in one try with goku. But, all 5 ginyu force characters with just goku where the enemy's all fight different and have just as much health as ur starting health. That was actually challenging. But I'm happy it was. It took me about 10-15 tries. And yes, I got frustrated, but it was fun that way. If they nerf the story ima be upset. I like the challenge. If ur having trouble with the timing... then get gud! The game just came out. Give urself time to practice all the timing and game mechanics before u "demand" a nerf. Smh

i don't mind the AI input reading sometimes, or on higher leveled fights, but sometimes the AI is just constantly input reading and that's no fun at all. I'd be more okay with it input reading like 1-3 inputs and then having a cooldown where it swaps to a pattern, or an actual AI than can think of what moves to use next.
