Truth about Zamasu Alternate canon impossible?

I know its a skill issue, but I keep trying to beat zamasu. But the instant I use an ultimate he swaps over to Goku Black, who has too much health for me to get rid of in the short time I have during their dialogue. Trunks pops in bascially instantly afterwards. Am I just bad? Also they keep practically guessing my buttons and kicking me around like a soccer ball.

Tell me about it i spent quite some time on it and after 1 UB zamasu leaves and goku black comes

It's possible, I did it by spaming sparking mode with infinity combos then finishing with the ult and kill Goku black before he finishes talking, don't need to kill Zamasu

Spam sparking mode. You can clear every fight your first try by just spamming basic attack and doing your ult once or twice.

So i just killed them in time but didnt unlock the alternate timeline, whats wrong here?

I am seeing mixed messages on this but some people are saying that if you equip capsules on characters they will take affect in episode mode, I would recommend at least trying that and see if it becomes any easier.

Yeah, there is no way to Spam Sparking Mode in this Fight. If i Just load Ki for one Second both of them play Pinball with me, over 15 Fights Just get Once in Sparking Mode and then i cant do the Infinity Combo cause they Take me as a Pinball again

I Try it, i equip every Single Goku with capsules, dont see anything of the Boosts in Episodes

yeah no, bro that still doesn’t help when zamasu swaps to black. maybe on easy difficulty

on easy difficults you dont unlock alternate routes. The Fight is redicolus. Zamasu can dodge an infinite amount of times and he punishes almost every hand to hand string, Even if you manage to down him once and want to combo into ult he can DODGE IT. Not a single other opponent managed to dodge an ult after being downed by a melee string. black is just as bad. Too many healthbars with too little time. I beat all other timers on gokus path easily but those 2 are just unfair.

A big tip as well I haven't seen anyone mention you have to beat him before the dialogue of him mentioning "now you face my blade." Otherwise it won't count even if you manage to beat him afterwards.

I've seen no difference with any of the capsules, and i've unlocked most of them at this point. They do not work in story.

I just did it guys you have to kill Goku black before time runs out zamasu doesn't matter you can take as long as you want with him

It seems to be a health threshold I'm not sure exactly what it is. I had black down to under 2 bars before goku says now I'm really mad. Black then used his scythe ult which I think if he actually uses it in the fight it is the indicator you passed. I took another 20-30 seconds to finish the fight so time didn't seem to be an issue after making that cut. I had approximately 5 bars of health so I'm not sure if it's a one or both healthbar thing at the timer.
