dunno how that's meant to work online, haven't beam clashed with another player yet
super clashing says you can just tap the button or you can hold it. but as there is no indication of when to release, its best to just tap until someone does enough tests to figure this out in a controlled PVP setting.
Like in Infinite World, you wait til the bar is max and press the button before it restarts so you can get more power on your meter. (The explanation says there's a guage but there definitely isn't one) BUT they allow mashing for it too, because even if you press the button at the beginning of the bar charging, if you mash enough, you can accumulate enough small charges to power as someone who is doing it the Infinite World, waiting until the bar is charged and timing it.
No, you can beam clash with a variety of abilities. It's just specific ones will eat the others. Like Raditz's energy crush will not clash with SSJ teen gohan's Angry Masenko, why? Because the masenko shoots two balls lol. One disperses with the energy crush, the other hits you because of animation lock.
Or you can mash. Either works
