Keyboard & Mouse - playable?

Heya,

Is this game enjoyable/fairly practical to play with a KB/M? Otherwise, what controllers' do you guys use to play this with on Steam?

I'm not a controller person at all.. But I'm willing to invest/learn if KB/M really isn't viable here.

Like with Kakarot or Xenoverse, board and mouse will take a minute to pick up. I moved the transformations from Z to LALT and likely need to do something with the character swap key as well. Two things that still feel a bit off for me are the keys you have to press for a specific transformation and using Shift+F for the charged rush.

I am for what it is, just gotta find what tweaks work best for you. Tomorrow I’ll try with a controller but I’m sure I’ll stick to keyboard and mouse as I have with past DB games

hey man have you figured out how to hide the mouse on the screen while you fight? i keep seeing the mouse and its so damm distracting

There is absolutely no reason a single soul should be playing this on mnk… just grab a controller for $20-25, if you have enough to get the deluxe/ultimate for this, you have enough for a cheap controller too

I've never been a console/controller person (besides the Nintendo 64 days), I imagine i'm quite dysfunctional with it, particularly if there's a range of combo moves/controls involved. Just sussing out if I'd be better at the game with KB/M. Cost isn't a bother.

I played on MnK my entire life. I do own an Xbox controller, but no matter which game I try, it just doesn't feel right. It's playable, sure, after some practice, but it just can't compete with years, or, well, 2 decades of experience on keyboard and mouse. I generally prefer video games that are supposed to be designed with the controller in mind - fast-paced action games, like Hades, or DMC, or MGR, etc, and I was sold on an idea that the gamepad would improve my experience, but when I use it, it always feels like a debuff to my abilities. So I disagree that there is "no reason" to play on MnK - there are many different people out there with different experiences and different preferences.

probably an acquired taste, especially if you aren't a DBZ or fighting game fan, but i think it is. people don't realize how much an intuition they've built due to their years of gaming; if you've been using controller most of your life, you will prefer and recommend controller support, if you're kb warrior, you'll prefer and recommend kb.
