Secondary objective is glitched

On the mission "Arrival on planet namek" on the story of Goku, it says to "Not deflect jeice's crusher ball, well, I did and it didn't unlock the alternative path... alright lets try to not get hit by it then, same path... whats going on? is it badly translated or is this a glitch

I just figured it out. The translation is wrong. You HAVE to deflect Jeice’s Crusher Ball and that’ll trigger Berter to swap in.

I managed to get it as well by lowering the difficulty which seemed to force him to swap with Burter.

It's because lowering difficulty disables the secondary objectives/path (it tells you this when you press L2/LT to lower difficulty in that episode screen.)

man i got to the secondary objective on jiren and it just says beat him really fast. well i sat there spamming super kamehameha on him and he died so fast and i still didnt get it. some of these secondary conditions are gunna be annoying i can already tell.

When a projectile is coming at you, hold down the perception button. If you’re on PS5 that’s circle for standard controls. Make sure you have a blast stock though.

There will be a short cutscene and an additional final fight with Jiren after you've beaten him fast enough in MUI form. You'll have to beat him again with base form Goku and Frieza. Win and you'll get the secondary objective rewards.

i cant get it at all, i dont even have the extra dots on the map for the alternative line or anything? beat his normal form in UI and took me around 30-40 seconds on MUI on enraged. nothing at all :/

Maybe i gotta unlock something with the freeza episode first?

well...turns out i was doing the secondary objective all the time and i just mixed up the endings.....i had to wait longer and take my time. i feel dumber than i should but i guess thats deserved.

Try using Super precision against Jeice's Crusher Ball. After that, Buter switches and you go to the canon route. Not deflecting the ball and defeating Jeice IS the secondary objective

If you press start during a battle you can go to the details and it will tell you the secondary objective.
