Gameplay shutting off PC
So this is a new one, game launches fine, opens into a cutscene, all good, then it goes into gameplay and my entire PC shut off. I updated the drivers and launched as admin, now it properly moves into gameplay but crashes about a minute in. i tried skipping the tutorial to lower the settings but it goes into another cutscene and crashes.

Googled a bit, it doesn't seem to be overheating because it happens under a minute into the game, some similar issues blame faulty PC parts, mainly the PSU, saying that the GPU is drawing too much power, but I can play other games without a problem. My PC is not crazy powerful, i have a GTX2060, a Core i3 11th gen, 16 gigs of ram and a 550w psu, which should be enough.

Is there anything I should try? Maybe a way to lower the settings without opening the game?

What's the temperature on your CPU when you play? The game compiles shaders everything something new appears on screen, so that overwhelms the cpu and leads to stutters/sudden rise in power draw & temperature.

I think I know the problem. Sparking Zero's power level is just too high for your PC to handle.

so many cpu issues with intel recently I would honestly say its to blame a core crashing

Man.... this game must be possessed by the spirit of all those lost on planet Vegeta. I guess not even Windows can stand up to their call of vengeance and pain. Who would have guessed Bardocks' ultimate attack was 'Sparkle BSOD'. :sad_seagull:

My pc:

R5 5600
3060 ti
16gb ram
Ssd
500w psu

And my PC turns off in the same moment as you...

PS: I runned a stress test with FurMark, and when i reach an exactly number of frames, it turns off again....

I am thinking about issue with my psu, i am going to test with a friend one, 850w, i come back later with news

You should not be running a 3000 series card and a 500w PSU regardless of how good it is, I can tell you that.

I started the game to try again, ran NZXT cam on my second monitor, temp never went over 60 celsius for the cpu, 70 celsius for GPU, and then when it was going to turn off it didn't and I got into the game after skipping the tutorial. Constant temps of 65/75 celsius, the gameplay still stutters a bit at the start of fights (I assume that's the game compiling as you mentioned, I can see the CPU load spike just at that time) but for the most part it seems to be working out of nowhere.

same problem, I have a 650w 3060 ti power supply and an i510400f, funny because I play gow ragnarok normally with ultra quality and there was never a problem
Linfried Oct 7, 2024 @ 6:52pm
You need a bigger power supply. Like...at least 850 W.
