I have no knowledge of dragon ball, should I play this game?
Planning to start watching dragon ball... should I finish dragonball and dragonball z first before playing? Or doesnt matter? Thanks!

Well you should take the game if you are that interested in dragonball just you will maybe get spoiled if you play solo in the story game mod, if you don't care take it cause it will be a very good game if you like fighting games
Maybe if you don't mind the story getting skimmed over. There's not like a singular story mode anymore so you'd probably have to piece it together if you've never seen it before.

I didn't get into these games since Xenoverse 2. I think it's actually more exciting to get into action with a blank knowledge. It will make you want to look up character lore, and everything will be surprising. I'm still relatively new to the lore, but I love the fact there's so much to learn.

It's a fighting game, do you like this type of games?

Also, dragon ball has 153 episodes.
And Dragon ball Z has 291 episodes.

Are you SURE you wanna spent money on this?

Just don't buy it unless you have a lot of disposable income or you really like fighting games. If you aren't sure, wait a while for it to be discounted. No use in pre-ordering.

ok look, i dont think theres a definitive way to view the story of dragon ball through any game rn, so watch the anime, as for dbz, dbz kakorot is the game u want to play, has every aspect of the dragon ball story from the first saga to the last (excluding end of z which is dlc 6) as for beyond dragon ball z buu saga, watch dbz battle of gods, then ressurection f then start dragon ball super from episode 33 i think n watch til the end

do NOT buy this game if you have not watched all of dragon ball, dbz, the dbz movies, gt, you could skip super but, I suggest having a great understanding of how fighting works in dragon ball by watching the shows, learn the moves they do, learn who is strong and who isin't, learn what instant transmission is etc. do you need it to enjoy the game ? I sure think so.. if you haven't watched the show then you have no idea what is more powerful, a distructo disk, or a masenko

I was introduced to the series through the games so i think its fine to play the game to get a grasp of the story

yes

The Story is somewhat truncated while also being kinda non linear, you're essentially forced into choosing a handful of specific characters's paths instead of following the story like how it always has been traditionally told in DB games since the dawn of times.

The game is good, just expect to be somewhat confused in parts since it will probably skip around plot points depending who you're choosing to play with.
