Good to repost this. Someone posted Discord links on the other Release Date topic and it broke the replies.

Sorry about that, its first time that it has been a problem honestly. It's the simplest way to share a png.

You're good, I didn't want to name drop though LOL Can you try deleting the post(s) and uploading the image to imgur or something? That tends to work better from what I know,

It doesn't let me delete the problem messages and in trying to fix the mistake only ended up taking another page down of the discussion.

OOOF. Maybe it's time to let Steam sort it out if they feel like it.
I'm gonna bring my pc into work tomorrow and plug into the same switch as the internet provider in our Datacentre hosting the steam cache servers.
Between the switches is a 10gb link, SFP to Fibre. My own 1gb ethernet is the first bottle neck, even if it wasn't the next would be the 6gb sata connection on my drives.

That might work, or IT might see some weird connection and lock it down before the game finishes. Actually, thinking about it, they probably have Steam blocked anyways.

Haha nah I am the IT here, as it will be through the internet provider it is just like any other traffic, only difference is I have cut down the network hops to 1, which from home it might be 3 or 4.
I cannot directly connect to their cache servers here, but I know what rack they are in and who the internet provider is, so I can plug in to that switch.

Realistic the difference in download speed here vs at home is actually marginal due to the bottle necks in my own pc being 1gb ethernet.
I'd love to get an SFP network card so I could get better speeds from some of these switches.

I think it might be that Steam is doing something with how they handle links because what happened just happened again when I posted the youtube link to Bandai's early access launch showcase.

You broke it as I was replying to someone LMAO But yeah, seems more like Steam broke certain links in general.

I'm not sure either was my fault at this point, I'm more posting a warning to avoid using links until whatever is going on is fixed because a YouTube link breaking a thread means something is going wrong.
