Arena fighters are designed for DBZ and vice versa.

Must be why FighterZ did so well.

The Budokai games have a number of qualities to them you cant really get from the Sparking series or FighterZ.

I perdonally like how its a 3D fighter fought on a 2D plane (which you can sidestep onto a different plane).

I think the equippable system is also a big draw.

FighterZ is a 3v3 Tag Fighter that's more of a successor to Marvel Vs Capcom than it is Budokai. It's why such a large portion of the (pro) Fighting Game Community latched on to it. It delivered something that the FGC was really desperate for or felt was lacking in terms of new fighting game releases, especially when Capcom just put out the lacking Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite at the time.

That being said FighterZ is the modern 2D DB fighter of this era but I wouldn't go so far as to say it delivers what people who like Budokai specifically want out of a 2D DB fighter.

Ahh so I finally found what makes him tick. He wasn't a Xenoverse fanboy, he was a FighterZ stan. A bit more respectable but at the end of the day just a new Marvel v Capcom with a DBZ reskin.

I didn't know people still watched Evo. Are you talking about that finals that only got so many views because IGN posted it? Last I heard wasn't FIghterZ wasn't even part of EVO anymore.

I just hope when Sparking Zero outsells FighterZ you don't get too upset. It's just how DBZ should be, it's not FighterZ or 2D fighters fault.

Nope, you're referring to the Smash Bros finals which ended up beating the record held by FighterZ.

Last I heard wasn't FIghterZ wasn't even part of EVO anymore.

I don't know if it is but that doesn't change the fact that the 2018 Finals for FighterZ was the most viewed stream in Evo's history.

Oh and I guess I have to explain this to you too but just because I know that about Smash doesn't mean I'm a Smash Bros fan.
