As for quality of life, I think crossplay isn't achievable with the set up they have here. Unfortunate but it is what it is.
A small couple of complaints I do have is how long it takes to get into any kind of unranked match. If you pick any kind of unranked match you'll be put into a lobby and you can never just find a match quickly for some reason yet ranked seems to be able to put you into a match instantly. Definitely some changes warranted there.
Controller bugs I do actually agree with. The amount of times I've input LT + A + A to do a dragon dash only to be met with a grab is actually frustrating sometimes. There's other little bits like the Y follow-ups blocking the Super moves if you're too quick about it as well. I just think it could use some tuning up.
tekken 8 is P2P and it has crossplay
Funny enough, being P2P causes most of this game's problems.
I don't know what this means, but I doubt it's an explanation to my input and on-screen events not mattering as much as theirs.
If your opponent has 30fps whilst you have 60 then you'll be getting 30fps with frameskip x2 sent on your end. This results in a frametime window for super counters and other button presses to be halved i.e a super counter which normally has a window of 4 frames will have only 2 etc.
But no the game is not Peer to Peer. It's like peer to peer with a server middle man.
So yes, Bandai need to pull the lead out and get cracking on these fixes
Even if it's a party game, it's just not fun to play against someone using cheap spammable skills. Even if we aren't being sweaty. It sucks to have someone auto-vanish all your moves and get instant sparking to take off 2-3 of your heal bars.
Ranked isn't just for sweats, it matches you with someone of your skill level so you can have a good match and not pound some noob into the ground. Why complain about that?
How is this a fun party game?
exactly but again the fanboys will tell themselves anything to defend bad design of a genuine 6/10-7/10 fighting game
Having a rank breeds incentive to win, and in a game like this winning means picking the broken characters. So now the devs have to make a choice as to whether they want to completely revamp this game so that it's nothing like BT3 or they need to never touch it again until people accept that this game is a mess and just play the meta in it, like MvC2 and 3.
