Imagine reading "guys, with the December patch everything will be solved" :steamlaughcry:

One question... where the hell did all the glazers who said that such a high players drop was normal go? :steamlaughcry:

I hate to admit OP is right. This game is in serious trouble. Regardless if it's off hours, the amount of people playing a highly anticipated game like this is staggering low.

I don't even play online. And I don't care about it. But at this point I'm just worried they will give up on releasing the missing content and/or fixes.

this thread is still going??? since when wasnt it normal for a fighting game to only have 1k players even more so an anime game

120K to 1K lows is horrendous. that's like a 99% player loss.

Man I can't hahaha

What do you mean by "since when is this not normal?", regardless of the genre of the game do you find it normal for Sparking Zero to go from 120k to 12k in two weeks and up to 1k after just over a month?

I don't know what world you live in but if a game that makes these sales has such a high drop in players after such a short time it means that MAYBE there is some problem :steamlaughcry:

All this talk about a december patch won't save the game. The game is a freaking joke, and not worth $70! And they (bandai namco) were fools to think this would be fit for a serious tournament. Forcing players to switch characters, and banning players for playing characters YOU MADE!

Behold, modern triple-a gaming.
This actually isn't a Triple A game. Spike is a mid developer at best and Bandai tends to skip out on these games budget wise. They probably made insane profit off this.

It's hard carried by the DB license.

Regardless of how misguided and misused the terms are, the point is people paid 70 bucks expecting long term support, and instead we got tons of technical issues, ragequitters, and people coping that the single player experience was worth the same price as Dragon Ball: Kakarot.

Sure but Granblue and Guilty Gear didn't peaked at 120k. Even Dragon Ball Fighterz only reached 44k peak.

In fact, the retention rate is so ungodly low that it wouldn't surprise me if the suits decided that there's no return of investment from supporting this game further and abandon it outside of some low effort seasonal DLC.

You know its dead when you keep getting matched with the same players. Probably its more alive on ps. Good thing i bought it the first day so atleast i didnt waste 70 $
Of course, 95% of players are cheesers. Nobody wants to play surrounded by riffraff, so they leave the game.

Patch and Superhero DLC will revive it. A ton of pc players can't get into online mode right now

I'll rewrite what I said in another discussion I had...:steamhappy:

-instant sparking +1
-false courage +1
-saiyan spirit -1
-split screen for all stages
-graphic changes to the character selection menu
-graphic changes to gogeta DBZ

These are just leaks so in the future this list may grow but for now if the patch only has this to offer it's trash:steamlaughcry:

I won’t be surprised Bandai is trash money grabbers

The game was never meant to be a competitive online fighter, which is besides the point I want to make which is the game feels like a shell of BT3. The gameplay and overall fighting mechanics just don't feel as tight and polished as BT3.

The input latency that's built into the game makes me want to pull my hair out, the bugs, glitches and overall janky feel of the game all lead to this.

I guarantee a BT3 remake/remaster would have more players at this point.
