Players frequently report severe lag and low framerates during online matches, even when their internet connection is strong and their hardware is more than capable of running the game smoothly offline. These performance issues make the online experience extremely frustrating, with gameplay often slowing down to unplayable levels for some users​

Additionally, there are matchmaking and connectivity issues, where players struggle to find matches, and when they do, they often encounter opponents with high ping, resulting in a choppy, delayed experience. This problem is worsened by the game's poor netcode, which causes input lag, making it hard to execute moves properly in high-stakes ranked matches​

In essence, a combination of technical bugs, poor matchmaking, and an unstable online infrastructure has driven many players away from the game's online mode. These problems haven't been adequately addressed through patches, leading to the game's current state.

I haven't had any issues in ranked at all. I don't think the game is dead, far from it. Still says there is 50k people playing atm. Seems normal for an anime fighting game. It will pick up again once updates come/DLC.

It's dead because of greed. Anticipated access + overpriced DLC'S and the game itself spook the majority of potential buyers. Personally when I saw the price decided I wouldn't even play this game for free. These practices are totally disrespectful and an abuse. Happy to know it's dead. Well deserved. Won't be buying anything from Bandai either for a long time too. This is how customers with principles punish big companies without scruples and in many cases, they go broke.

Not greed, that's just how game work nowadays. Price is subjective, there is a reason people chose to go for the deluxe or ultimate editions. If you "wouldn't even play for free" i'm assuming you haven't brought the game so why are you on this forum, im assume just to spread negativity and if this is the case you can go ♥♥♥♥ off. If 60k concurrent players is "dead" to you then you are just objectively stupid, sorry.
