Am I missing something?

Whenever I play online (with a wired connection on Ps5) my opponent is able to start a combo on me while being in the middle of my combo.

They are also able to activate perception in the middle of my combo that is connecting. Then after they turn the tables on me I can't get out of their combo no matter what I press.

I literally lose EVERY SINGLE match because of this crap it almost feels like an exploit is being used by everyone (which I know is not likely that's just how bad it feels)

I spend ALL my matches being tossed around freely not being able to respond and they always get an easy free victory like wtf!

Yes I went through practice mode to learn the controls, yes I spent time learning them, yes I know the counters and how to use them. It seems like peoples reflexes aren't human dude! The game has barely been out two weeks and people are already cracked, this is why I'm starting to hate gaming.

I've noticed my 360 controller I use for my PC responds better than my PS5 controller does.

perfect counters (up + mele) can work even when you're getting hit from behind

Most people mash either guard or perception in combos because a lot of them are fake, that's why you are getting sonic swayed in the middle of it. For a combo to be true most of them have to be from the back, then you can only get either vanished or super countered (up + square).

You should be able to bait perception as well. Try side stepping to get in their back to bait it, or reset them with Ki blast or grab them. The thing here is to not just let the opponent mash perception however they want lmao.

I got mine off Amazon. It's third party but handles exactly like a normal 360 controller does.
