BEWARE OF LIFT STRIKE!!!
A very important warning guys!!! if you get hit with lift strike + 5 hit combo, you will not be able to recover... I was a victim of this and i tested it on some of my opponents and they also cant recover from it. this guarantees a rush super follow up.

it is mentioned in the tutorial how to recover from lift strike which is : L2+up+ Circle (for classic, idk about standard sorry). but sometimes it doesnt work. so make sure you try your best to super counter the lift strike or use the recovery input. a normal recovery wont work, even after you hit the ground, you will sleep there for a good 5 seconds. :isaac:

1. there is instant ground recovery. the only way you should stay laying down is if you over spend ki.

2. revenge counter works

3.High speed Evasion(vanish) works on the knock up

4. super counter works at any point

i'l ltry to lab the instant ground recovery but to my experience (and watching my opponents after i hit em with it), it seems to not work. unless the lift strike recovery costs something.

The weakness of lift strike and trip kick, is the developers (For some wacky reason.) made it recoverable. What I mean, is you can hold block, or hold perception and the combo will never finish. Be it rush or smash, the person cannot finish the combo on you if you just hold the block button down (From the front.) Silly, but yeah, it's just how it is.

you can by inputting the second input of lift strike recovery which is down instead of up. normal recovery doesnt work.

From what I noticed from just playing is that you can only attempt 2~3 times to do a perfect block when you're being comboed and facing your opponent and only 1~2 times if you have your back facing the opponent instead. On both cases, you get to try again if they go for a reset.

When your opponent is on Sparking Mode, it feels like you can only try 1~2 times for each 5 hit combos.

If you mash all the time for a perfect block, you'll miss all your attempts.

Recovering from hard-knockdowns isn't possible, the game already gives you enough chances to revert yourself from going into that situation.
