How to get out of infinite combos by the AI
Trying to fight Kefla(?) (Edit -- It was Kale) and she literally just attacks endlessly and there's nothing I can do about it. I hit her she walks through it and continues the combo.

I try to use the Melee special and I bounce off her and keep flying (A problem in general with this game I hope they fix) and then she starts her endless combo that I cannot escape. She literally just basic attacked me down 3 health bars and I couldn't move at all. Even resorted to button mashing but its like I may as well just put my controller down.

I finally beat her by pressing alt and F4 and she went to another dimension.

Hard to get into the complexities of it here, but there are a few ways to break out of a combo. The first and most consistent is the super counter. It's done by inputting up and attack while being hit. The timing is extremely tight, but when it works you will block and immediately parry whatever they're doing. The second is a vanish/vanish attack. If you time a block button press at the right time, you'll instantly appear behind the opponent as they attack you. This only works on certain types of attacks, and the tutorial mode covers it in more detail. Finally there is a third option that I forget the name for. If you press in your right stick, you'll spend a skill point to instantly break their combo, but it's weak to them pressing perception, so use it sparingly.

Best way to learn these things is to go into the tutorial mode.

Vanish wasn't working because she would just do basic attacks then stop before doing the knockback. But I'll try those other things next time around. I finally beat her by spamming the god breaker Kamehameha over and over again lol

well that was lame, sooner or later this tactic will not work, and you will have to learn proper melee fighting.

Lol I literally have mopped the floor with everyone after her so far. The AI just cheats, and the tracking on the melee specials is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Never mind that my melee attacks were just being ignored anyway.

Gonna take a break for awhile though. That ♥♥♥♥ burned up my desire to play. Took my revenge on the next few characters.

Flick up and dont wait for it to connect. Do it right before it connects because reaction wise you will more than likely take longer to press it. Human reaction time is like 18 frames and the window to hit is like 4 frames. So theres tons of room to miss.

Super Counter Up and X
Revenge counter Click right stick ( cost a point )
Perception B
Block is R bumper ( You dont have to hold it. It will hold out for rest of combo )

If you find your holding Block a ton use X with it it gives you a grab. So when the AI is being cheap and countering your Counters just grab the ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

This is good info. Didn't know about the window. Block wasn't working for me at all, and vanish wasn't working either because she would just get behind me and infinite attack me.

Normally if nothing else I can square/X and do the teleport attack and break a combo, but for whatever reason with her every time I managed to get free she would just walk through my strikes and continue lol.

Then I started getting mad which of course throws me off and makes matters worse lmao.

Idk why it was so bad, maybe its also because Im tired as hell, but it was really making me rage lol.

Only other fight that frustrated me as much was the Zamasu fight where you're not supposed to kill him but get him low on health. First time I didn't know that and just mopped the floor with him, after that trying to not kill him was more infuriating than anything I've done so far😂
